The team at Ackroyd Engineering Services, under the leadership of General Manager, Rohan Ackroyd, are committed to building its reputation as a Quality Contractor servicing the Oil, Gas, Power & Water Process Industries.

Established in 1996, Ackroyd Engineering Services is well positioned to deliver to its clients, including larger companies such as Alstom Power, ABB, Queensland Gas Company, United Group and Santos Ltd (among many others), a personalised service customised to each client's needs. In October 2004, we established a Fabrication Workshop strategically located close to northern, southern and western major roads, right in the centre of Brisbane's industrial growth zone at 207 Queens Road, Kingston QLD.

With access to a skilled team of  engineering tradespersons from Boilermakers, Welders, Mechanical Fitters to experienced Riggers, Crane Operators and Trades Assistants, Ackroyd Engineering Services has found its niche as a specialist in on-site installations and pipe spooling fabrication works.

It is a company extremely proud of its achievements, particularly in the way it managed significant growth and product diversification since 2005. In March 2008, Ackroyd Engineering Services became of division of Walter Diversified Services (WDS). The acquisition by Walter Diversified Services provides Ackroyd Engineering Services with enhanced access to opportunities, infrastructure and resourcing, which is sure to boost its capability within the water, oil and gas sector. This partnership will lead to expansion in the range of services able to be offered to existing and new clients, which will be of mutual benefit to all industry stakeholders.

The senior management team of Ackroyd Engineering Services continues to offer excellent leadership, a wealth of experience and in-depth knowledge within the heavy engineering sector. The most recent mechanical installation contracts have been based at gas compression facilities located in the Surat Basin, concurrent with ongoing site installation and maintenance works also being carried out at Advanced Water Treatment Plants in the Greater Brisbane area.

Rohan Ackroyd remains at the helm of the business following the acquisition in his new role as General Manager. Rohan is very ably supported by Operations Manager Simon Ahearn and Works Manager, Andy Douglas.

Within the parent company structure, management and responsiblity for AES is provided by Ciaran Hallinan at DCC in his role as General Manager (Oil & Gas).
