North Goonyella Mine

WDS has continually supplied support services to North Goonyella's operations for over 10 years. The services included installation of primary and secondary strata support, recovery of failed underground roadways, construction of ventilation devices, conveyor installation and recovery, excavations, civil works along with operational and engineering maintenance services that provide essential support to North Goonyella's longwall and development operations.

Services are required on a 24/7 basis however like any underground mine there are both peak load periods and restricted access times to complete the work required. Through operational flexibility, resource leveling and mining knowledge the project has maintained stable manning and equipment levels while consistently meeting NGC's complex and challenging operational requirements.
